The movie, the blog and the lost in cyberspace

Published by flashpoint at 11:24 am under Uncategorized Edit This

I was watching that Woody Allen movie late last night, Hannah and her Sisters, while trying to figure out how blogging works.  Woody Allen fascinates me. He’s found a way to make movies about abstract thought. That’s amazing. While sitting there watching and listening to the movie with one ear  I wondered how many people have gone  insane trying to figure out how to blog.   Woody was not well, he wanted to shoot himself for being unable to get a definite answer on the existence of God. I looked at Woody and what  fascinated me was his dress code. I like him for the fact that, like me, he doesn’t have time to worry about a fashion sense when he is having a breakdown about the existence of God. Furthermore, his apartment looks a bit like mine with little piles of books toppling over everywhere.  It became clear to me that Woody had made a great philosophical movie but to ponder the existence of God on such a deep level without being open to a number of Eastern philosophical concepts could be like running into a brick wall. Psychoanalysis will get you far but not that far. One concept I have in mind is, for instance, meditation. I don’t see him as being able to sit still for longer than about a split second. That is something else we have in common. I considered forgetting about a blog. I was just not up to it, having forgotten what a username is and what my considerable number of passwords were, I couldn’t log in to anything. I went to sleep musing about poor Woody, stuck in his time warp of questions and me having lost my self in cyberspace with no password or username. A virtual world that could one day disappear if there were electricity cuts. What would I find, if I walked down the passage of cyberspace, going deeper and deeper everyday? A new virtual world, I suppose. Having lost my self in books quite often it didn’t seem so scary, only weird.

So that is more or less what this blog will be about, things I have thought of while watching movies and especially reading books.  It could take me about a year or maybe longer to construct this blog exactly like I want it.
